Looking at the stats for the moose cloak, at face value it struck me as unimpressive but examining it further I see that compared to the bear coat it gives half the movement penalty, more armor, is 10% more resistant to being wet, and weighs 1kg less. I have no other wolf pelts curing, so making a second wolf coat quickly is not really a clothing option, and have one bear pelt curing but cannot find another bear to make the bear coat so that is also not an immediate clothing choice as the pelts take 12 days to dry plus the amount of time it would take to actually hunt down a bear. I recently killed a moose and successfully harvested its hide.
My scenario is this: In interloper, I am wearing a wolf coat and got really lucky with a safe and found a Mackinaw jacket.
